Description
This ZA/ZB-L Series of wall mounted, Extra Large outdoor LED clocks from RGB Technology offers an LED display with automatic brightness control and a choice of HH:MM or HH:MM:SS display – all versions are suitable for indoor or outdoor use in factories, yards, laboratories, schools and reception areas.
With digit sizes of a huge 27cm or 40cm these extra large outdoor led clocks are the largest of our listed clocks. Due to the anti-reflection screen and large digit size these clocks are highly visible and viewable from distances in excess of 150m (with 400mm digits). As a result these clocks are ideal for mounting high and at Sports venues.
A temperature sensor and the ability to display ambient temperature on the clock display is now included as standard.
The dedicated, powder-painted steel casing makes these clocks corrosion resistant and with increased strength. When properly installed, it meets the IP67 tightness requirements. As a result this clock is perfect for outdoor use withstanding all weather conditions.
“The clock has improved our punctuality.”
Yvonne Kitchen, Site Manager – Lytham St Annes High School
Long reading distances
Dependent on ambient conditions, the 400mm digit version of this clock is readable in excess of 150m.
The smaller but still mighty 270mm digit clock is readable in excess of 100m.
Both clocks include auto-brightness sensors which ensure optimum readability even on sunny days.
Synchronisation
Metrix recommends GPS synchronisation so that the clocks become maintenance-free and 95% of all our clocks are supplied with GPS autosetting modules.
However manual setting can be carried-out with the included remote control and all the clocks have the facility for NTP network control as standard.
Although the GPS system was created for positioning (i.e. defining the location and navigation using Satnav etc), GPS can be also used for other purposes. In the received GPS signal there is embedded information about the current time and date. Time keeping is very accurate, it may be slow or fast by just one millionth of a second per month. For the proper operation, it is required to place the GPS receiver module in the location providing “visibility” of the sky (a 10m lead connects the GPS module to the clock to allow suitable location).
NTP (Network Time Protocol) – is a communication protocol supporting precise, stable and safe synchronisation of clocks with any time server through the computer network. An advantage of NTP is the possibility of simultaneous management and synchronisation of a large number of clocks if they are all connected via the same Ethernet network.
IR Remote Control
To manage the devices you may use the IR remote control. Every remote control has a unique code preventing unauthorized individuals from making any changes in it. It is possible to assign many remote controls to one clock likewise one remote control clock can be assigned to one or more clocks.
The IR Remote is supplied as standard with every clock.
